The RONA HFV 10G 0.5mm² Shielded PVC Drag Chain Cable is a high-flexibility solution engineered for dynamic power and signal transmission in industrial automation. Rated at 300/500V and featuring a 10-core, 0.5mm² conductor configuration, it integrates a shielding layer and a durable jacket for dual protection. This design overcomes the industry challenge of balancing flexibility with durability. Through the synergy of finely stranded conductors and modified PVC materials, it not only withstands over a million cycles of reciprocating bending in drag chain systems but also resists mechanical abrasion and electromagnetic interference (EMI) in harsh industrial environments. It delivers reliable performance for machine tools, automated production lines, and similar equipment.


▍Structural Material

  • Conductor: Fine-stranded, high-purity oxygen-free copper (IEC 60228 Class 6). This ultra-flexible stranding design is the foundation of the cable's exceptional bending endurance, minimizing mechanical stress during continuous movement in drag chain applications.

  • Insulation: High-elasticity, specially formulated PVC compound. This insulation provides reliable electrical separation while its inherent flexibility ensures it moves in harmony with the conductors, maintaining integrity and preventing micro-cracking under dynamic stress.

  • Sheath: Premium abrasion-resistant PVC, with a Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH) alternative available. The standard sheath offers superior toughness and longevity against physical wear. The LSZH option enhances safety in confined or public spaces by significantly reducing toxic smoke and corrosive halogen emissions in the event of a fire, complying with stricter safety regulations.

▍Transport & Storage Guidelines

  1. Transportation: Packaged on reels in an upright position. Laying flat or dropping from height is strictly prohibited. In low temperatures (≤5°C), protective measures against jacket freezing are required. Avoid severe impacts that could cause insulation cracking.

  2. Storage: Store in a dry, well-ventilated warehouse away from corrosive substances like acids, alkalis, and mineral oils. Ensure no harmful gases are present that could damage insulation. Reels should be rotated every 3 months to prevent moisture damage to the bottom layer. Recommended maximum storage period is 2 years.

  3. Loading/Unloading: Reels must be lifted individually; simultaneous lifting of multiple reels is forbidden. Use securing fixtures during transit to prevent reel movement and damage.
