Product Description
The RECH-4-0.3mm² Transverse Watertight Cable is a dedicated transmission cable developed by RONA Cable for the underwater industrial automation sector. It focuses on solving the challenge of stable low-voltage signal and power transmission in high-salt, high-humidity environments. The product features a dual-protection structure of "external sheath water repellency + internal water blocking". Through special processes, it achieves full cross-sectional water blocking, effectively preventing water penetration along gaps between cores. Combined with a high-flexibility conductor and corrosion-resistant sheath design, it can withstand mechanical stress from underwater pressure and equipment towing while resisting seawater corrosion and electromagnetic interference. This provides continuous and reliable "nerve conduction" assurance for underwater automated equipment.
Unlike traditional waterproof cables that rely solely on outer sheath protection, this product achieves a waterproofing upgrade at the structural design level. Even if the outer sheath is accidentally damaged, the internal water-blocking material quickly expands to form a sealing barrier, preventing moisture intrusion into the cable core and avoiding short circuits or equipment failures. This significantly enhances the safety and stability of underwater operations.
Conductor: Multi-strand stranded high-purity oxygen-free copper (purity ≥99.95%). Conductivity complies with IACS standards, offering excellent oxidation resistance. Maximum conductor resistance at 20°C is ≤12.10 Ω/km.
Insulation Layer: Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) insulation, thickness 0.80mm, insulation resistance ≥100 MΩ·km, effectively isolating core signal crosstalk.
Water-Blocking Layer: Uses water-blocking tape and yarn made from polyester fiber composite high-water-absorbent material. Water absorption expansion rate reaches hundreds of times its own volume, forming a dynamic sealing barrier.
Sheath Layer: Black silicone rubber sheath (RAL9005), thickness 1.50mm, featuring wear resistance and weather resistance. Wear amount ≤0.1mm/1000 friction cycles.
Shielding Layer: Tinned copper wire braid shielding, coverage ≥90%, combined with a bare copper tape drainage layer. Grounding resistance ≤2Ω.
